That nobody take this as a sexist article.Maybe if a man wrote it, he would give it another approach, but that science confirms something that women have been suspecting for a lifetime, is a triumph. The fact is that the British Medical Journal recently confirmed the theory of male idiocy and that many times they do very stupid things.
The funny thing is that the study has been led by a 15-year-old British teenager named Ben Lendrem, the son of a prestigious medical professional, who has become the youngest researcher in history to publish in a medical journal.
Would he be fed up? Young Ben to listen again and again to the famous stereotype that the boys are idiots , and even to check it among their parents? What kind of guy is asked to check the theory of male idiocy? The fact that a male, moreover, a young boy, has been the promoter of an investigation of this seems to me enough argument not to consider it a sexist initiative.
Men and women do not behave the same
Other investigations have already been carried out regarding the behavior of the two sexes in other aspects. In this sense, it is known that the behavior against risk is not the same in men than in women. For example, men are known to be more likely to be admitted to an emergency department after accidental injuries, more likely to be admitted for a sports injury, and more likely to be involved in a fatal traffic accident.

However, little has been thoroughly studied on idiot behavior and risk that men and women have to commit idiocy. This new study wanted to check it and find an explanation for the theory of male idiocy.
Testing the theory of male idiocy
For the study, the team led by the young Lendrem reviewed the data on stupid behaviors demonstrated by winners of the Darwin Prize over a period of 20 years (1995 to 2014), taking into account the sex of the winner. To qualify, the nominees should having used surprisingly stupid methods. At this point it is worth clarifying, in case anyone does not know, that the Darwin Prize is an ironic prize that recognizes the actions that people who definitely do not enter Darwin's theory that the human being improves genetically after mistakes and failures.
In this sense, the researchers considered stupid behaviors like that of a man who stole a shopping cart and hooked it to a train to be dragged to s or house (which was a little more than three kilometers), or that of a terrorist who put stamps on a bomb letter that was returned and, without realizing it, opened it.

Of the 413 nominations for Darwin Awards, 332 were verified and confirmed by the independent Darwin Awards Committee.Of these, 14 were shared by male and female candidates-usually overly adventurous couples in compromising positions-leaving 318 valid cases for statistical testing.
Of these 318 cases, 282 of these awards were awarded to men, and only 36 awards were awarded to women. This means that 88.7% of the winners of the Darwin Awards are men, and this difference in sex is statistically very significant, according to the authors.
This finding is totally consistent with the theory of male idiocy, and is compatible with the hypothesis that men are idiots and fools, and that is why they do stupid things.
Male idiocy seems to have no limits, but the study does have
However, this study has limitations, the authors add, for example, women may be more likely to name men for a Darwin Prize, or the difference in sex may reflect differences in alcohol consumption between men and women.
Despite this, it is disconcerting that men are willing to take on those unnecessary risks, simply as a rite of passage initiation, in the search for social esteem, or only in exchange for the rights of bragging, the authors say.
In any case, researchers believe that the theory of male idiocy deserves further investigation.
