Most of us have heard on some occasion this that losing hours of sleep can be detrimental to health and, in fact, especially in recent times we have been able to hear numerous news that pointed out that little sleep could have a strong incidence on weight gain.Today , a study conducted by Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar has shown sufficient evidence to suggest that the loss of just half an hour of sleep could have consequences for long term both for weight and for metabolism itself.Look good!
The debt of sleep acquired every day should be targeted
The study was I performed with 522 volunteers who suffered from type 2 diabetes. All of them had a blood test and all their body measurements were taken.During the 6 months that the first part of the experiment lasted the participants had to write diaries where they collected the dat The dream debt they contracted each week, that is, the time they had left to sleep.
Finally the test could reveal that those people who lost hours of sleep during the week were a 72% more likely to be obese than those who slept the right hours every day.
The data obtained after prolonging the experiment for 6 more months were alarming
The experiment continued for another six months and after completing the total 12 months it was found that for every 30 minutes of lack of sleep increases the risk of obesity by 17% and the risk of suffer insulin resistance by 39%.
And here I leave a personal reflection to share with you that it has come to mind when I made the article.s count the hours of sleep, or the calories of each meal, or the activity time to be perfectly healthy. It seems that over time everything gets complicated, right? Today, anything is a trigger for many pathologies.
Do you think it is necessary to really take into account so many aspects and factors to be healthy? Why do you think over time everything gets even more complicated to maintain a good state of health?
