Although the history of science goes back to the very origins of the human civilization, 6,000 years ago, we can really talk about an era dominated by science, or a scientific-technical civilization , since the 18th century, that is, for less than 300 years; However, this period has been sufficient to generate an extraordinary development and to open fields of knowledge in which sometimes man made of God, as in the 5 we discussed below.
5 scientific projects in that man made of God
1.Creation of interstellar dust
In 2014 NASA tried to create interstellar dust simulating the conditions that occur in the proximity of a red star when it is dying. For this experiment, NASA researchers tried to reproduce, in a special chamber, a space of absolute emptiness and extreme temperatures in which a stellar dust could emerge.

In this experiment man made of God because he intended to recreate the origins of matter-as something comes out of nowhere-and therefore, of the planets and est rellas. As a result, some observable grains could be created through electron microscopes , but there is still much to know and understand.
2.He also made God by changing the weather
There is increasing certainty that the gradual increase in temperature on Earth and the catastrophic events that accompany it, are directly responsible for a human activity that until a few decades ago was unconscious, although it is no longer possible justification after ignorance, or the argument that it is a natural process.
One of the most dangerous proposals to reverse this situation is called geoengineering , and would consist in manipulating environmental processes to eliminate carbon dioxide and solar radiation.Luckily, they are still technologically unworkable.
3.Genetic manipulation of insects
The search for an effective way to fight malaria or malaria, a disease that affects ci Among millions of human beings in much of the planet, I have led researchers at the University of Irvine, California, to genetically manipulate a mosquito that transmits this disease to make it reject the bacteria.

This trait could be transmitted when reproduced , and if done in large quantities, it could eventually end the disease. If successful, this technique could be used with other insects that carry diseases for plants, pets and humans. But this intervention at the genetic level could bring unexpected consequences, such as of creating a more dangerous disease, transmitted by a stronger carrier.
4.Production of "alien" beings
Another investigation in which man made of God, but perhaps of an irresponsible god, it was in the creation of a living being with a different DNA that of life on Earth. The deoxyribonucleic acid, better known as DNA, is composed of two chains, or two base pairs, in all known life forms on Earth, but recently a group of scientists took a bacterium from e.coli and added a third base synthetically developed, without the bacteria rejecting it .
By doing this operation they created an "alien" species , and the terrifying possibility of developing a powerful biological weapon.
5.Create artificial life
Another occasion in which man made God was in an investigation developed over 15 years by Dr.Craig Venter, published in the journal Science in 2010, and describing how he and his team developed synthetic life from chemical substances .

The scientists copied the genetic code of a small bacterium, mycoplasma genitalium , and replicated it, modifying it, in a cell that was previously "emptied" of DNA, creating a completely new and capable organism to reproduce. This technique could be used to create bacteria that feed on contaminating products, or to develop vaccines; but it could also serve to develop new biological weapons.
Certainly, the fears surrounding the incredible power that scientific knowledge has given to humans remain the same as those expressed by Mary Shelley when she wrote Frankenstein (1818), because every time man made of God, he also made a demon.
