After extensive and intricate research, scientists from various international universities have found some evidence to support the theory that our universe could actually be a immense hologram .
Could our universe be just a hologram?
Scientists from the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom, the University of Waterloo, the Perimeter Institute, both from Canada, the National Institute of Nuclear Physics of Lecce and The University of Salento, in Italy, worked together in a study on the origin of the universe that has yielded interesting results regarding the way in which the Big Bang could have happened.
The researchers dedicated themselves to analyzing microwave background radiation , an echo of the Big Bang and discovered evidence of the existence of a holographic explanation of the universe through the theory of cosmic inflation.
In this explanation all the information within our 3D reality it would be contained in a two-dimensional surface on its borders, thus eliminating a dimension, which would be gravity.
Kostas Skenderis, co-author of the research, He explains it this way:
«Imagine that everything you see, feel and hear in three dimensions (and your perception of time) emanates from a two-dimensional plane. It is similar to ordinary holograms where a three-dimensional image is encoded on a two-dimensional surface, as in the hologram of a credit card, but this time the entire universe would be encoded ».
Although this theory first arose from the beginning From the 1990s, the technological advances achieved since then have allowed scientists to detect a lot of information hidden in the "white noise" , which is what microwave background radiation is called.
This could be explained as something similar to see a three-dimensional movie in the cinema although it is not exactly the same.In the cinema, we perceive objects as if they had height, width and depth, but in reality everything originates from a two-dimensional flat screen.
However, our universe is three-dimensional and unlike in movies, we can touch objects and the "projection" is "real" from our perspective.
"Holography is a great leap forward in the way we think about the structure and creation of the universe.Scientists have been working for decades to combine Einstein's theory of gravity and quantum theory. Some believe that the concept of a holographic universe has the potential to reconcile MBOS.E I hope that our research will bring us a new step towards this idea, ”Skenderis said.
After this finding, scientists hope to move forward in the search for answers about how time arose and space , as well as our general understanding of the universe.
